Wednesday, June 24th at 4 PM CDT

Students will:

- Name their tribe after a book or fictional character and make a “book cover” sign for their tribe

- Learn about the author, Roald Dahl, and his book, Matilda, about a magical little girl who loved to read

- Compete in the Matilda’s Bookcase Challenge, using engineering to build a bookcase for Matilda’s books

- Learn about the 3D shape of a Square Pyramid and utilize it to design and build a stronger bookcase

- Test their bookcase design by counting how many books it can support

- Evaluate and improve their bookcase so they can hold more books

**A supply list will be emailed to you. Most supplies are common household items.
