Inspired by the best-selling survival book series, Disaster Island© will take your tribe on a thrilling adventure through some of the most famous disasters in history! From the eruption of Mount Vesuvius to the sinking of the Titanic to the Great San Francisco earthquake, you and your tribemates will work together to overcome epic challenges using only the materials in your treasure chest and the power of your imagination.

After you register, you will receive an email with the materials and Zoom login instructions. You will need to gather some supplies from around your house. Don't have something on the list? Get creative and use something similar! You don't need to leave your house for materials!

July 11: The Children's Blizzard

We'll learn about the “Children’s Blizzard” of 1888 and understand what a blizzard is. We'll learn about extreme temperatures in Fahrenheit - boiling point of water, room temperature, freezing point of water. We'll use technological skills to design, construct, use and evaluate "Plinko" games.
