Students in 6th grade are invited to participate in two hours of learning once weekly with their peers. The first hour will be virtual learning assistance/tutoring. The second hour will me Challenge Island STEAM based learning with 21st century skills. Students will enjoy project based learning activities weekly that build on one another.
*Our in-person sessions will be limited to small groups and
they will be with the same group of students each week.
*We will cover work areas with disposable, protective table
coverings and sanitize throughout using CDC approved guidelines.
*Materials distributed to children for use in their
challenges will be brand new or thoroughly disinfected prior to use in
adherence with CDC cleaning guidelines.
*Challenge Island teachers and staff have received resources,
policies, and procedures to help them protect themselves and the children they
work with.
*Challenge Island teachers and staff will be provided with
protective face coverings to use in keeping with state, local standards. Social
distancing will be maintained, in the event children cannot social distance, face
coverings will be worn.
*Challenge Island
teachers and staff will ensure they and the children follow CDC guidelines for hand-washing.
*We will require
temperature check for students as they enter the building.
*Parents are asked to wear face covering when they drop off
and they may not gather or wait in the building.
*Please do not enter the building more than 2 families at a
time.
****Due to the small classes sizes we will keep a waiting
list. If a class is full PLEASE put your child on the waiting list. Please remember
when registering payment is full is due within 24hrs. If payment in full is
not received within 24 hours your child will be removed from the class and we
will move to the next person on the waiting list. ****
50% refund or credit will be available until August 20th.
After August 20th, no refunds or credits will be given for any reason.
