Welcome to the New Imagination Lab located at Central Piedmont's Education Center. Challenge Island, the #1 STEAM program in the world is a one-of-a-kind enrichment program on the cutting edge of S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, & math) education and 21st Century Learning. We take children on a unique “island” adventure where they take on various STEM/STEAM challenges using only the materials in their treasure chest and their creativity. We call it disguised learning; our students call it FUN! “We are thrilled to partner with Central Piedmont Community College, which has been an integral part of the Charlotte landscape for almost 50 years,” “There are two spaces at CPCC that we will utilize: one room for our interactive, hands-on STEAM Adventures; and an e-learning room equipped with WiFI for supervised e-learning”

Both AM & PM blocks will be offered on Monday - Friday to allow parents flexibility and affordability.  Students attending both AM & PM sessions must bring a nut free sack lunch from home to enjoy during the supervised lunch period.

Each weekly theme will include design challenges from our most popular islands (Super Star Island, World Tour Island, Shark Tooth Island and Cool Careers Island).

The Imagination Lab will offer: 

90 minutes of supervised e-learning 

90 minutes of STEAM enrichment fun
