In this hands-on workshop, students will learn about the science and math behind wind energy and boat racing, and create their own racers! Using the history of the Mayflower as inspiration, each student will learn about what makes a boat move, and then they'll be given the challenge to build their own "mini-Mayflower" blowcart using everyday materials that we provide to them. How many passengers can your boat hold? How far can it go? Join us in this interactive workshop that combines STEAM fundamentals, teambuilding and crosscurricular learning into an action-packed hour of fun and learning, hosted by Challenge Island's award-winning instructors.
