Get ready for some groovy time-traveling fun! You and your tribe will build a time machine and take a STEAMtastic journey to a different decade every day. You will engineer iconic toys and pop culture products from each era and experience what it was like to be a kid in the 50’s 60’s, 70’s and 80’s This Retro-riffic camp is sure to be one for the history books!

Challenge Island is an award-winning STEAM enrichment program where kids work together in tribes to solve fun, hands-on “challenges” which teach them about STEAM fundamentals, cross curricular topics, plus important success skills like creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and much more. Each of our summer camps are packed with activities and learning, and include lots of positive reinforcement and social interaction in a safe setting. In addition, for students who sign up for both a morning and afternoon camp, they are welcome to bring a sack lunch and hang out with our STEAM-professional instructors for the lunch hour at no extra cost, where we’ll provide some additional activities, or some well-earned downtime as needed. We are offering this morning camp (9am-12pm) as well as an afternoon camp (1pm-4pm) the same week. Participants can either sign up for one or the other, or they can do both. If a participant signs up for both, we will hang out with the kids from 12pm-1pm so that they can stay all day (9am-4pm) at no extra charge. If a particiant signs up for both, please bring a sack lunch.

A 14 Day Pre-Screen is required for this course. Please fill it out and turn it in before the program begins on your RARA online portal or on the first day of camp.

Participants will need to fill out a daily screen before each day starts. They will do this when they arrive at class. Social distancing and face masks are required at this time.
