In this hands-on STEAM camp, we’ll meet “super stars” throughout history from the worlds of science, business, pop culture, and sports, and learn about & experiment with the STEAM fundamentals that made their amazingness possible! From da Vinci to Kobe Bryant, the Beatles to Malala, Henry Ford to Tom Brady, P.T. Barnum to Mae Jenison, we’ll cover all eras and fields as we build challenges to try out everything from buoyancy to projectile motion to color perception and much more!
Challenge Island is an award-winning STEAM enrichment program where kids work together in tribes to solve fun, hands-on “challenges” which teach them about STEAM fundamentals, crosscurricular topics, plus important success skills like creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and much more. Each of our summer camps are packed with activities and learning, and include lots of positive reinforcement and social interaction in a safe setting. In addition, for students who sign up for both a morning and afternoon camp, they are welcome to stay for lunch and make a day of it; before-care and after-care is also available from Brandon Schools.
