Virtual Cadette Entrepreneur Badge Workshop
Challenge Island® partners with Girl Scout councils nationwide offering fully interactive, hands-on STEAM Girl Scout virtual workshops for girls of all ages - Daisy through Ambassador!
These are not sit-watch-a-video and do the activity on your own types of classes! These classes are very interactive with the teacher and the other kids on the call and completely hands-on, just as our in-person classes are. So come join us on our interactive online classes and connect with your troop members and new Girl Scout friends. We have put together a special workshop just for you!

· * The Scientific Method / Engineering Design Process is used by girls throughout every challenge as our cross-curricular island themes extend their learning across multiple disciplines.
· * Both left & right sides of the brain are utilized as innovative, creative thinking is encouraged and celebrated.
· * Challenges emphasize valuable skills such as communication, critical & creative thinking, flexibility, leadership, initiative, social skills, grit, & perseverance.
· * Our workshops prepare the fun, lively G.I.R.L. of today for the ever-changing global marketplace of the future.

At this workshop, girls will use the Engineering Design Process to understand a real-world issue, create a design & build an African Safari Park tourist business; creating a business plan, Logo & Tagline, developing expenses & revenue, and identifying who are their customers. They will then develop and give a presentation pitch to an “Investor Board” and ask for seed money to “fund” their business to get it started. Our own personal Shark Tank experience! Girls are encouraged to wear their sash/vest.
Once registered, we will send you a Materials List which the Girl Scout can have a scavenger hunt with around the house. Many to all of the items are things you have in the house. You can gather an item OR substitute something else.
NOTE: We will also send you a few pre workshops activities to be completed prior for the Add- on STEM Career Exploration Badge.
Materials can be provided for and additional nominal fee, if requested.
Upon completion your Cadette will receive a Certificate of Completion & exclusive Challenge Island patch. This does not include the badges.
