Students will recognize causes of an avalanche and the roles of snow packing and layers in the

process.  Tribes will follow the steps of the engineering process to design a course that takes a snowball/avalanche around at least three 90-degree corners. They used creative, artistic, and critical thinking as

well as communication and collaboration skills to create a “Ski Lodge” where skiers can escape from the avalanche.
