Challenge Island and Girl Scouts
Challenge Island® partners with Girl Scout councils nationwide, and we also offer fully interactive, hands-on STEAM Girl Scout virtual workshops for girls of all ages - Daisy through Ambassador! This workshop is taught by a certified Challenge Island Owner who is also a Lifetime Girl Scout and a former Girl Scout Council Director.
But girls be warned: These are not sit-watch-a-video and do the activity on your own types of classes! These classes are fully interactive with the teacher and the other kids on the call and completely hands-on, just as our in-person classes are.
So come join us on our interactive online classes and connect with your troop members and new Girl Scout friends. We have put together a special workshop just for you!

Brownie Budding Entrepreneur Badge Workshop
SATURDAY, May 14
12:00-2:00 PM Eastern
In the Brownie Budding Entrepreneur Badge Workshop, girls will use the Engineering Design Process to complete the badge requirements by listening to a female Entrepreneur's story and the story of another famous Entrepreneur who changed how we live. Girls will come up with a new themed restaurant business with unique products and services, design prototypes, and test those prototypes. As Engineers do, girls will share their ideas to get feedback and make improvements on their business and products. Then girls will pitch their business to the group. ....And the crowd goes wild! Whoohoo!
Girls are encouraged to wear their sash/vest.
This workshop is in conjunction with the Daisy Toy Business Designer Badge Workshop (same date and time). All girls will be learning about the entrepreneurs and the real world issues, but each level will have different design builds to complete per the requirements for their badge. There is a seperate registration for the Daisy Workshop.
Once registered, we will send you a Materials List which the Girl Scout can have a scavenger hunt with around the house. Many to all of the items are things you have in the house or can find at a dollar store or Walmart.
Cost includes: A 2-hour workshop with a design build challenge, a materials lists scavenger hunt, additional printouts as needed, AND a Certificate of Completion & exclusive Challenge Island patch mailed directly to the Girl Scout. This does not include the badge.
OTHER OPTIONS: IF these dates/times don't work your schedule(s) - - CHECK OUT OUR SOCIAL BUBBLES!! YOU choose the Date(s)/Times, either in-person location OR Virtual, program/badges to earn, AND who get to attend (neighborhood friends, family, GS troop, Girl Scouts in the neighborhood, co-workers kids). You're free to choose it all! Social Bubbles are in-person with Renee Allen. If in-person, all Covid safety protocols set forth by the CDC, State, and Challenge Island will be followed.
