This winter season, the San Diego Central Library is once again giving the gifts of engineering, imagination and creativity through Challenge Island San Diego Central/North! Join our winter-themed STEAM camp for kids (parents are welcome!). From designing a ice and snow speedway to creating blizzardly plinko to designing sled/bobsled run, this winter break promises to be a STEAMingly cool experience!

Note to Parents: Please register with the San Diego Central Library (tel. #619-236-5800). You will receive an instruction from them on how you can get your materials for this virtual camp. There are a few repurposed/recycled items that you need to collect prior to the start of camp.  You may also add to their engineering fodder other common household items and recyclables that you can find around the house. Please note, the following general supplies are not included in the material kit/package: scissors, glue, markers/crayons and tape (duct tape, masking tape, clear tape). Please be sure your child has them ready before the class starts. 

       All CI classes are led by a certified Challenge Island teacher through a live zoom call. A link will be emailed to you a day or two before the first day of the event.
