Challenge Island® partners with Girl Scout councils nationwide, and we offer fully interactive, hands-on STEAM Girl Scout workshops for girls of all ages - Daisy through Ambassador! This workshop is taught by a certified Challenge Island Owner who is also a Lifetime Girl Scout and a former Girl Scout Council Director.
So come join us for this awesome workshop and connect with your troop members and new Girl Scout friends. We have put together a special workshop just for you!
· * Our whimsical, creativity-based STEAM curriculum inspires girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
· * The Scientific Method / Engineering Design Process is used by girls throughout every challenge as our cross-curricular island themes extend their learning across multiple disciplines.
· * Both left & right sides of the brain are utilized as innovative, creative thinking is encouraged and celebrated.
· * Challenges emphasize strengthening valuable skills such as communication, critical & creative thinking, flexibility, leadership, initiative, social skills, grit, & perseverance.
· * Our workshops prepare the fun, lively G.I.R.L. of today for the ever-changing global marketplace of the future.

DAISY & BROWNIE Entrepreneur Badges Workshop
In this workshop, we will be working on ...
> BROWNIE BUDDING ENTREPRENEUR BADGE. Brownies will use the Engineering Design Process to complete the badge requirements by listening to a female Entrepreneurs' stories and the story of another famous Pizzaria Entrepreneur who changed how we live. Girls will come up with a new themed pizzeria restaurant business with a storefront sign, logo, and unique products and services, design prototypes, & test those prototypes. As Engineers do, girls will share their ideas to get feedback and make improvements on their business and products. Then girls will pitch their business to the group. ....And the crowd goes wild! Whoohoo!
> DAISY TOY BUSINESS DESIGNER BADGE, Daisies will be designing a game for kids to play with while waiting to be seated at the Brownies Pizzeria restaurant. We all dislike waiting for a table...let's make it a fun time! Incorporating and melding the Pizzeria theme with another theme they create. Each team will have a game to play with when finished!
Girls are encouraged to wear their sash/vest.
COST INCLUDES: The STEAM challenges, all needed supplies & materials, the Badge, exclusive Challenge Island patch ... AND lots of fun!
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Is two (2) weeks prior to the event date or when the workshop fills to capacity.
