Challenge Island® partners with Girl Scout councils nationwide, and we offer fully interactive, hands-on STEAM Girl Scout workshops for girls of all ages - Daisy through Ambassador! This workshop is taught by a certified Challenge Island Owner who is also a Lifetime Girl Scout and a former Girl Scout Council Director.
So come join us for this awesome workshop and connect with your troop members and new Girl Scout friends. We have put together a special workshop just for you!

· * The Scientific Method / Engineering Design Process is used by girls throughout every challenge as our cross-curricular island themes extend their learning across multiple disciplines.

Junior Business Startup Badge Workshop
In this workshop, we will be working on ...
For the Junior Business Jumpstart Badge, girls will use the Engineering Design Process to complete the badge requirements by listening to an Entrepreneur's story and learning about roller coasters and the inventor of the roller coaster loop-the-loop that forever changed the roller coaster industry. Each Team will create an Amusement Park Business and advertisement to pitch the business to the public with a prototype of their main attraction. Teams design & build a roller coaster prototype, get feedback on it, and revise their prototype and incorporate the suggestions as needed. Teams will come up with a business name, logo, roller coaster name, and create a business pitch for their new themed roller coaster. Then they will pitch why people should spend money to ride their coaster! It's going to be a wild ride!
Girls are encouraged to wear their sash/vest.
COST INCLUDES: The STEAM challenges, all needed supplies & materials, the BADGE, exclusive CHALLENGE ISLAND PATCH ... AND lots of fun!
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Is two (2) weeks prior to the event date or when the workshop fills to capacity.
