CHALENGE ISLAND AND GIRL SCOUTS
Challenge Island® partners with Girl Scout councils nationwide, and we offer fully interactive, hands-on STEAM Girl Scout workshops for girls of all ages - Daisy through Ambassador! This workshop is taught by a certified Challenge Island Owner who is also a Lifetime Girl Scout and a former Girl Scout Council Director.
So come join us for this awesome workshop and connect with your troop members and new Girl Scout friends. We have put together a special workshop just for you!
· * Our whimsical, creativity-based STEAM curriculum inspires girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
· * The Scientific Method / Engineering Design Process is used by girls throughout every challenge as our cross-curricular island themes extend their learning across multiple disciplines.
· * Both left & right sides of the brain are utilized as innovative, creative thinking is encouraged and celebrated.
· * Challenges emphasize strengthening valuable skills such as communication, critical & creative thinking, flexibility, leadership, initiative, social skills, grit, & perseverance.
· * Our workshops prepare the fun, lively G.I.R.L. of today for the ever-changing global marketplace of the future.

Junior Mechanical Engineering Triple Badge Workshop
In the workshop, girls will work in teams and use the Engineering Design Process to work through a series of STEAM design challenges to earn their
~ Crane Design Challenge Badge
~ Paddle Boat Design Challenge Badge
~ Balloon Car Design Challenge Badge
Girls are encouraged to wear their sash/vest.
**Troops must come in proper girl to adult ratio. Juliette Girl Scouts must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. These are NOT drop off programs.
COST INCLUDES: The STEAM challenges, all needed supplies & materials, a snack & beverage, an exclusive Challenge Island patch, and all three badges. ... AND lots of fun!
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Is two (2) weeks prior to the event date or when the workshop fills to capacity.
One week out, we will send a Welcome email with reminder details.
