·       * Our whimsical, creativity-based STEAM curriculum inspires girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.

·       * The Scientific Method / Engineering Design Process is used by girls throughout every challenge as our cross-curricular island themes extend their learning across multiple disciplines.

·       * Both left & right sides of the brain are utilized as innovative, creative thinking is encouraged and celebrated.

·       * Challenges emphasize strengthening valuable skills such as communication, critical & creative thinking, flexibility, leadership, initiative, social skills, grit, & perseverance.

·       * Our workshops prepare the fun, lively G.I.R.L. of today for the ever-changing global marketplace of the future.

Multi-Level DA / BR / JR Think Like an Engineer Journey Workshop

Girls will use the Engineering Design Process to understand a real-world issues, create a three seperate STEAM design builds around each topic, and will have the opportunity to show off their go-getter ingenuity to their fellow Girl Scouts.  Girls are encouraged to wear their sash/vest.

With participation in this Journey workshop, girls complete the entire Journey except for the Take Action Project which must come from the girls' vision and be implemented in their community per GSUSA requirements.  The Take Action Project will need to be completed as a Girl Scout troop or as an individual.
