Get ready for an adventure that ignites creativity and innovation in our Junior and Cadette Think Like an Engineer Award Workshops! At Challenge Island, we believe that learning should be an exhilarating journey, and our workshops are designed to spark imagination while fostering critical thinking skills.
In our Junior workshop, participants will embark on an exciting hands-on experience where they’ll have the chance to construct their very own paper Eiffel Tower, brainstorm ingenious solutions to make a hotel earthquake-safe, and design a cozy emergency animal shelter. Each challenge will not only inspire teamwork but also encourage our young engineers to think outside the box and develop practical solutions to real-world problems!
Meanwhile, our Cadette workshop takes creativity to the next level! Cadettes will unleash their inner inventors as they design and build prototypes of a life vest tailored for a dog, craft a model camp cabin inspired by the wonders of nature, and engineer a prosthetic leg for an elephant. These projects are not just about building; they’re about understanding the needs of others and finding innovative ways to meet them!
We absolutely love hosting Girl Scout Workshops, and we cant wait for your girls to dive into the fun! At Challenge Island, we create engaging and imaginative experiences that spark creativity and foster teamwork among our young adventurers. However, to ensure everyone has the best time possible, we do need to meet the required volunteer-to-girl ratio for each level and have a minimum of 5 girls signed up for the class.
If this workshop sounds like a blast but the date doesn't fit into your troop's schedule, dont worry! We're here to help you make it work. Just reach out to us, and we can chat about setting up a private workshop for your troop or even arrange another public option in the future.
At Challenge Island, were committed to empowering young learners and making STEAM education a delightful adventure. Let's embark on this journey together, because every scout deserves a chance to explore and discover!
