Why Challenge Island?
Challenge Island is a cross-educational STEAM-based enrichment program for kids. All programs are unplugged with no digital technology. Children are taken on unique "island" adventures where they work in collaborative groups to take on high-level thinking challenges on real world issues using only the materials in their treasure chest and their creativity. Students have opportunity to build & strengthen their skills in all five aspects of STEAM – Science, Technology (invention & innovation), Engineering, Arts (language & creative), and Math - to successfully complete challenges as a team; while also strengthening their life skills in communication, collaboration, critical and creative thinking, flexibility, sociability, initiative, leadership, grit, and perseverance through difficulty. Challenge Island is dedicated to ensuring a brighter future for our kids and our communities by helping you prepare your child to succeed in the 21st Century and beyond!
Cost:
Three-hour Camp: (Morning OR Afternoon) EARLY BIRD SPECIAL UNTIL MAY 1: $150/WEEK per session. After May 1: $175/WEEK per session
Lunch/Recess: $25/week for those choosing the full day option
What to Bring:
Outdoor-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes
Water bottle
Packed lunch (for full-day sessions only) **This does not apply to students who go to Jills Play Yard
Schedule & Enrollment:
· Full-day option (Students entering Grades 2-6 for the 25-25 School Year) When registering for FULL DAY CAMP please register for MORNING, LUNCH/RECESS and AFTERNOON sessions for the week(s) you want.
· Half-day options (Students entering grades 2-6): Choose MORNING or AFTERNOON.
· All sessions run Monday-Friday
Refunds:
· We can offer full refunds for session cancellations until June 1, 2025, with a $25 cancellation fee, per session.
· 50% Refund for cancellations between June 1-15, 2025, with a $25 cancellation fee, per session
· There will be NO refunds after June 15, 2025.
· Transfers: If you wish to switch your child to a different session, we’re happy to help, as long as there are available spots.We cannot guarantee availability, and if no spots are open, a refund will not be given. We are unable to make exceptions, including for illness or unexpected schedule changes.
