Challenge Island - TCAPS After-School Enrichment / Westwoods Elementary K-5 / Slimetopia® By Challenge Island

Welcome to Slimetopia® By Challenge Island - an ooey, gooey, squishy, squashy, slippery, stretchy slimey time! With a STEAM lesson with each slime build, learn the science behind the slime during our themed classes. We will be MAKING 9 DIFFERENT KINDS OF SLIME in our 3 classes together!! Wowzer! Our wacky crazy themes and the slimes we will be making are....

Pizza Party!  Italian Pizza Slime (it looks and smells like pizza - no joke!) (1 crust, 2 tomato sauce, 3 cheese slime) and we'll complement it with a Coffee House Pink Drink Slime (4).

Winter Fun!  We will compare & contrast Snowy Slime (5) & Icy Slime (6) and then be wowed by Color Changing Slime (7).

Spring Break Vacay! Ocean Slime (8) & Ice Cream Cone Slime (9).

We’ve got you and your STEAM Team covered! (...in slime, that is!).

Why Challenge Island?

Challenge Island is a cross-educational STEAM-based enrichment program for kids. All programs are unplugged with no digital technology. Children are taken on unique "island" adventures where they work in collaborative groups to take on high-level thinking challenges on real world issues using only the materials in their treasure chest and their creativity.  Students have opportunity to build & strengthen their skills in all five aspects of STEAM – Science, Technology (invention & innovation), Engineering, Arts (language & creative), and Math - to successfully complete challenges as a team; while also strengthening their life skills in communication, collaboration, critical and creative thinking, flexibility, sociability, initiative, leadership, grit, and perseverance through difficulty. Challenge Island is dedicated to ensuring a brighter future for our kids and our communities by helping you prepare your child to succeed in the 21st Century and beyond!
