Family STEAM Saturdays
Pet Palooza Mini Golf
Bring your pets (stuffed animals, action figures, large toys, whatever) and come create your own mini golf green! Are you Cool Cats or Dreamy Dogs? Are you leaping lizards or down on the farm? Come join us in celebrating spring! The local golf courses and mini golf courses will be opening up soon and so is our own Challenge Island Mini Golf Course! You and your family team will be able to engineer an ingenious mini golf green. Will your course be short & sweet? Silly & funny? Or long and challenging? This is a challenge that EVERYone loves ~ kids and parents alike! We will have ideas sheets and inspiration from other families who have built before.
In our unplugged programs, kids experience all aspects of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) AND have opportunity to develop their Life Skills in Communication, Collaboration, Critical & Creative Thinking, Flexibility, Sociability, Initiative, Leadership, and Perseverance Through Difficulty. At Challenge Island, we are dedicated to ensuring a brighter future for our kids and our communities by helping you prepare your child to succeed in the 21st century.
* This event is open for families to participate together. This is not a drop off event. *
Event open to families of any kind ~ parents/kids, grandparents/grandkids, nanny/kids ....whatever family is to you.

Your family can drop in anytime during the event, but we will be closing up at 12 noon to clear the event room for other needs.
Location: The Curiosity Place (powered by the Great Lakes Children's Museum) located in the Grand Traverse Mall.
Fee: FREE EVENT with paid admission to The Curiosity Place.
Pre-Registration is not Required but there is limited capacity in the event room. See below on how to save a spot for you family ahead of time in case it is a busy morning at the museum.
