Islandmon STEM Mini Quest 🛡️ 🤝
Calling all Pokemon lovers! 'Pokemon' translated means pocket monsters. Join us for a mini-monstrous journey into the Challenge Island Islandmon® wild! This is a little 'taste' of our Islandmon STEM Quest summer camp. All trainers (that's you!) will start by creating their brand new pokemon animal type and an islandmon squishee to join you on your journey. Your adventurous STEAM Team® is on a quest to catch, collect and train the island's mini-monsters. You'll go on a treasure hunt, visit a gym, and even engage in a battle. With the help of your islandmon ally STEAMaroo and her adorable joey, STEAMpuff, your STEAM Team will tackle engineering challenges and catch 'em all! Ready?? Let's go!!
In our unplugged programs, kids experience all apects of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) AND have opportunity to develop their Life Skills in Communication, Collaboration, Critical & Creative Thinking, Flexibility, Sociability, Initiative, Leadership, and Perseverance Through Difficulty. At Challenge Island, we are dedicated to ensuring a brighter future for our kids and our communities by helping you prepare your child to succeed in the 21st century.
Event includes: 3 hours of STEAM programs, take-aways, pizza dinner, and time in The Curiosity Place's hands-on exhibits. (You can't get a babysitter, dinner, constructive fun activities off the screens for 3 hours for this price!)
Event open to kids K-5th grade.
Kids work in STEAM Teams with kids of same/similar grade.

Location: The Curiosity Place (powered by the Great Lakes Children's Museum) located in the Grand Traverse Mall.
Registration Deadline: 12 Noon the day before the event date OR when the event fills, whichever comes first.
Pre-Registration is Required because there is limited capacity.
PLEASE NOTE: If the event fills to capacity before the registration deadline, registration will close. If the waitlist option is available, we highly suggest adding your child to the list, if someone cancels or a spot opens up or we are able to add additional staff, we may be able to add waitlisted kids. We would let you know the morning of the event date or sooner.
Fee: $25 for your 1st child;
Siblings Fee: $15 per additional sibling
1) Register your first child and make payment, 2) Create a profile for each additional sibling, but don't register them for the event, and 3) Email Renee at rallen@challenge-island.com with names of additional siblings, and which event or events you want them added to. She will add each additional sibling at the discount price and let you know when your balance is ready for payment. Participants must be paid in full before attending the event.
