Challenge Island at Archgate Montessori

Challenge Island® is where engineering meets imagination!  Each week, kids are divided into groups to solve a variety of challenges with the other students in their group.  In doing this, kids are learning the 21st Centruy skills kids need as they get older including-collaboration, teamwork, patience, and more!  It can be hard to work in groups, but Challenge Island offers them a safe and non competitive way to really hone on these skills!  During this semester, kids will experience Fantastic Fiction Island (English and Science ) and Time Machine Island (History and Science). Each week, kids learn about the theme of the day, explore real life connections and solve challenges dealing with the themes.
