Barksdale-Winter 2019 Careers and Fiction Island

Cool Careers and Fantastic Fiction Island – During this semester long class we will explore two of our newest islands, Fantastic Fiction and Cool Careers. Each week we will look learn about popular books as well as different careers and pose challenges for the students to solve that has them apply STEAM knowledge while using their imagination, creativity, and teamwork!  Challenges include: Harry Potter-Gringotts Bank Escape, Alice in Wonderland-Croquet Games, Dr, Seuss-Mobile’s, Pro Basketball Player, Astronaut-Lunar Landing, City Planner and Interior Design, to name a few.
