TCAPS After-School / FALL 2019 / 8 Sessions / Central Grade School / Disaster Island© / K-5

Inspired by the best-selling ‘I Survived’ book series, Disaster Island© will take your island tribe on a thrilling adventure through some of the most famous disasters in history!  We will discern and decipher disasters which altered life… from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius to the sinking of the Titanic to the Great San Francisco earthquake and the Children’s Blizzard of 1888…. from Grizzly Bear Campground to Hurricane Katrina to the Great Chicago Fire and become part of a Rescue & Relief Operation.  You and your tribemates will work together to understand what happened and overcome epic challenges using only the materials in your treasure chest and the power of your imagination.  

~ Students will be placed in groups by grade K-1, 2-3, 4-5.

~ After-School Enrichment once a week for 8 weeks. 

~ Register by school location. 

~ You can attend any location.  We have had many students participate at a different school than they attended.
