Cool Careers Island - Clarkston (6 sessions - 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23)

This program is an opportunity to grow your student’s skills and knowledge in critical thinking, teamwork and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) fundamentals in each class! In each of these sessions, kids will get a taste of some of the world’s most exciting jobs, and work with teammates to solve STEAM challenges that they may encounter someday in that career! Here is a quick overview of each week: 

1) 3/12:  Dentist - create toothpaste & board games. 

2) 3/19:  Pro basketball player- create catapults & projectiles. 

3) 3/26:  Marine biologist - design plankton with neutral buoyancy. 

4) 4/9:  Veterinarian - build wheelchairs. 

5) 4/16:  Mechanical engineer - create orange sorting machines. 

6) 4/23:  Astronaut - build Apollo lunar landers.
