March 28 - Great Lakes Hydroplankton Bay
Come join us as we explore what Great Lakes Biologists and Hydrologists do. We will be learning about plankton, hydroplankton, neutral buoyancy and what physical and behavioral adaptations that help plankton stay in the photic zone of Great Lakes. We will discover the characteristics of objects that float and sink and then you’ll build your own plankton and improve it until it maintains neutral buoyancy. At Challenge Island we work in groups using positive communication and social skills to interact effectively with others throughout the process. We will have an exciting time testing our waters!
