May 2 – Jaguar’s Claw

Who’s the king of the Rainforest?  The Jaguar!  Come join us for this exciting time learning about the Rainforest Food Chain, predator & prey, herbivores & carnivores, and take a close look at the jaguar at the top of the chain.  We’ll use problem solving, the Engineering Design Process, and creativity to build a Jaguar’s Claw game using the power of magnetism!   Our games will incorporate our new understanding the Jaguar and its prey into the designs.  We will have a roaring good time helping our jaguars catch their prey!

At Challenge Island we work in collaborative groups using positive communication and social skills to interact effectively with others throughout the process.  Students will be placed in groups by grade or with those in grades one above or below.

Open to kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Parents should remain at the Great Lakes Children’s Museum, but not in the activity room due to the tight space.
