In this workshop, girls will use the Engineering Design Process to understand real-world issues, create design builds around the topic, and will have the opportunity to show off their go-getter ingenuity to their fellow Girl Scouts. Girls are encouraged to wear their sash/vest.
The Girls will complete the following design challenges.
Pet Life Jacket Design Challenge
Elephant Prosthetic Design Challenge
Camp Cabin Decor Design Challenge
With participation in this Journey workshop, girls complete the entire Journey except for the Take Action Project which must come from the girls' vision and be implemented in their community per GSUSA requirements. The Take Action Project will need to be completed as a Girl Scout troop or as an individual in order to complete the Journey requirements.
Cost includes: Three STEAM design build challenges, materials, additional printouts as needed, AND a Certificate of Completion & exclusive Challenge Island patch. This does not include the Journey Award.
*Girls should come prepared with a NUT free snack and water bottle.

· * Challenges emphasize valuable skills such as communication, critical & creative thinking, flexibility, leadership, initiative, social skills, grit, & perseverance.
